Terms of service

Plain-language terms. The headings are summaries; the paragraphs are the agreement.

The service

Cited monitors publicly available AI assistant responses and web sources to report on how brands appear in them. Reports reflect what AI platforms said at the time of capture; AI output changes constantly, and we don't guarantee that any platform will mention or describe your brand in a particular way.

Your account

You're responsible for your login credentials and for what happens under your account. You must be authorized to act for the brand and domain you register. One account may not be shared across organizations.

Acceptable use

Don't use Cited to harass competitors, to generate or coordinate fake reviews or manufactured community posts, to resell raw data without a plan that includes it, or to probe, overload, or disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Billing

Paid plans bill monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. The free first report carries no payment obligation.

Intellectual property

We own the service, its software, and its design. You own your account data and may export it. Reports we generate for you may be shared inside your organization and with your clients.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We're not liable for decisions you make based on report contents.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days in advance. Questions: legal@cited.ai.

Effective: 1 September 2026.
